Air pollution is terrible for human health.

Particles less than 10 microns in size – also known as PM10can penetrate deep into the lungs, causing inflammation and damaging the lining of the respiratory tract. PM2.5 is even more problematic. These particles are small enough to enter the bloodstream, where they can affect every organ in the body. Air pollution has been linked to a range of serious health problems, including pneumonia, heart disease, stroke, lung cancer and stillbirths.
